Sequence Work

Sequence Work

Here you can view highlights of some of the natural history sequences I have worked on.

Where other camera operators were in involved with the shoots, I’ve tried to give their details.

For the BBC’s 2023 landmark wildlife series, I was lucky enough to document Great White Sharks, in South Africa.

Pearl-fish and Sea cucumber - shot for Nat Geo / WildStar - Underdogs.

Some highlights from the ‘Shallow Seas’ episode of EARTHSOUNDS by Offpsring Films on AppleTV+. Shot on the reefs of Raja Ampat in 2022 in Red Gemini and Red Helium.

BBC MAMMALS - Sperm Whales.

Blue Planet II - Episode 1 ‘One Ocean’ - Giant Trevallies Vs Terns. I shot the underwater elements of this sequence, long lens work by Ted Giffords. Go here to learn more about how the team pulled it off.

Salmon Spawning; PBS / BBC ‘The Americas’; The Frozen North. Narrated by Tom Hanks.

For this sequence for the 2022 BBC Series Frozen Planet 2, I shot drone and underwater, with fellow shooters Gavin Thurston and Sam Meyrick on long lens / GSS.

For this sequence, which appeared in the Coasts episode of Blue Planet II, I was tasked with documenting this newly discovered feeding behaviour from the air. Go here to read more.

Blue Planet II - Garibaldi Fish. Shot by myself and fellow cameraman David Reichert.

Some scenes from the Antarctica episode of ‘Epic Adventures with Bertie Gregory’ on Disney+

BBC ‘Seven Worlds, One Planet’ - North America. River Chub. Shot by myself and fellow cameraman Howard Bourne.

Blue Planet II - Coasts. This was the opening sequence for the episode. Go here to read more.

Galapagos Sealions from BBC Series ‘EDENS’. Topside work by Hector Skevington-Postles and Olly Jelly

Nat Geo / Plimsoll Productions - Hostile Planet. This was a really challenging shoot, but ultimately very rewarding with some striking visuals.

Blue Planet II - Coasts. Crabs Vs Eels. Shot by myself and Rod Clarke.

BBC Seven Worlds, One Planet - Antarctica. The majority of this sequence was shot by Bertie Gregory, but I got a few, hard-won underwater shots in there - of a feeding spectacle that had never been filmed before.

Footage highlights from a week diving Lake Cuanavale - one of Angola's 'source lakes'. Shot on Sony A7Smk2 in Nauticam housing & DJI Inspire 1 drone. Go here to read more.

Blue Planet II - Reef. Marbled grouper. Shot in French Polynesia by myself and Denis LaGrange

BBC ‘SHARK’ - Tow-Cam sequence shot off the coast of South Africa.
